Sue Nelson, Thomas Dodson, Forrest Koran and I set out on the ideal Northwest Summer weekend to climb one of the biggest faces in the North Cascades. Yep, two days to get up and over wasn't enough...we were boots on the ground for 4 days and over 20 miles, 2 1/2 days actually on technical ground. And even with all that, we fell one pitch short of the summit, as light and headlamps failed us on summit day. What a climb and trip!
